The Movember Protocol: A Tactical Guide for the War on Men's Health

This month is Movember. As a 2025 Movember Ambassador, this mission is personal. It is my "why."

Movember's stated mission is to stop men from dying too young. My mission, as The Resurrection Coach, is to give men a protocol for what to do when their life feels like it's already over.

It is the same war.

This isn't just awareness. This is a data-driven crisis. This is the intelligence report from the front lines:

  • Mental Health: Globally, 4 out of 5 suicides are men. (Source: Movember)

  • Prostate Cancer: Approximately 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed in their lifetime. (Source: American Cancer Society)

  • Testicular Cancer: The #1 most common cancer in young men. (Source: Movember)

The world sees these as three separate issues. They are not. They are three fronts in a single, silent war being waged against men. The enemy is not the disease; it's the inaction and isolation that our culture has branded as "strength."

The world offers awareness as a solution. Awareness is passive. It is not a protocol. This is the protocol.

Front 1: The War on the Body (Prostate & Testicular Cancer)

The statistics are clear: Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men. Prostate cancer is a silent killer of older men.

The enemy here is not the disease itself, which is often highly treatable when caught early. The enemy is the "tough it out" lie. It's the cultural programming that tells men to ignore a signal, to skip a check-up, to "be a man" and hope it goes away. This inaction is a failure of integrity—a broken promise to yourself to maintain the only asset you truly own.

Front 2: The War on the Mind (Suicide & Isolation)

Globally, 4 in 5 suicides are men. This is the brutal, final statistic of the poly-crisis.

This is the man fighting a war on every side—a financial collapse, a relational betrayal, a career detonation—and doing it alone. He is trapped in the "pattern of this world" (Romans 12:2), which tells him that to speak of his struggle is to be weak. This isolation is a poison. It is the "still, small voice" of the enemy telling him that the only way out is to exit the fight completely.

This is the war that Movember is fighting. And it's the war I am forging a protocol for.

The Movember Protocol: A 3-Step Faith & Science Intervention

Movember tells us what the war is. This protocol is how you fight it.

Step 1: The Science – Take Physical Action

The antidote to fear is action. You cannot win the war if you do not maintain your equipment.

  • Movember's Tactic: "Know Thy Nuts." Do a monthly self-check.

  • Our Doctrine: This is a non-negotiable act of discipline. You schedule the physical. You do the self-check. You establish a beachhead of stability by taking command of your physical health. This is the Science of the protocol.

Step 2: The Faith – Break the Silence

The antidote to isolation is testimony.

  • Movember's Tactic: "Talk to a mate."

  • Our Doctrine: This is the first, terrifying act of rebuilding. It's the courage to find one man—a pastor, a therapist, a brother—and speak your truth. To say, "I'm not okay." This is the Faith of the protocol. It is the act of bringing the battle into the light, which is the only place it can be won.

Step 3: The Mission – Find Your Purpose

The antidote to victimhood is a new mission.

  • Movember's Tactic: "Move for Movember."

  • Our Doctrine: We don't just "move"; we fight. We find gratitude in the struggle. We stop being thankful for the crisis and start being thankful for the man the crisis is forging. We're not just surviving; we are being rebuilt. We are not just aware of the crisis; we are using the crisis as the fuel for our recovery.

Your Next Mission: Join the Fight

You are not a victim of these statistics. You are a soldier who has just been handed the battle plan.

This month, you have two ways to join the fight:

1. Fight For The Mission: On Saturday, November 15th, I am hosting a live, in-person fundraiser in Santa Monica, CA. We are raising funds for the Movember Foundation. This is not a gala; it is a tactical debrief on surviving rock bottom. Your $30 donation is your ticket, and 100% of it goes to the war.

2. Fight For Your Life: If you are reading this and you are in the crisis right now—if you are at rock bottom, fighting a war on every front—you do not need awareness. You need an intervention. The Resurrection Protocol is that intervention.
